Service Overview

Overgrown Fence Row Cleanup

Property lines, pasture fences, and the back edges of rural lots tend to grow up fast. Five years of neglect turns a wire fence into a wall of saplings, honeysuckle, grape vine, and volunteer trees. We come in with the right equipment, clear the entire row down to the ground, grind the stumps, and haul the debris away so you can see your fence again, and so the fence itself can be repaired or replaced.

What a fence row cleanup includes

We cut and remove saplings and volunteer trees growing up through and alongside the fence, pull out vines and undergrowth, grind the stumps flush or below grade so they don't resprout, and haul off all the brush. If the fence is going to be replaced, we can clear a wide enough lane on both sides for the new fence crew to work cleanly.

Why fence rows matter

Left alone, a fence row pulls down wire, twists T-posts, lifts wood line posts, and shades out your pasture or yard. Honeysuckle and grape vine in particular will collapse a fence in just a few seasons. Clearing the row protects the fence you already paid for, restores the property line, and makes mowing the edges possible again.

Equipment for the job

We bring skid-steer mounted cutters, chainsaws, the stump grinder, and a dump trailer so it all happens in one trip. We work carefully along the fence wire to avoid damage when the fence is staying in place, and we can stack usable wood (for example, locust or cedar posts) on-site if you want to reuse them.

Pricing

Quoted by the linear foot or by the job depending on how heavy the growth is and what access looks like. Most residential fence row cleanups land in the $400โ€“$1,500 range; longer agricultural runs are quoted after a site visit. Always a free flat-rate quote before any work starts.
